Second owner and purchased in error as it is too big for me. This is my seventh BMW the previous was struck by a car in the street. It was an R 1100 RS and the insurance covered the purchase of the R1 50 RT given my age, it's time to sell it and I'll be selling it at a loss, but it goes

<p>This is a great bike in excellent condition and has 40,200 miles. Always garage kept, never ridden off road, and carefully maintained. A lot more HP and torque than I ever needed. Clearwater lights, cruise control, tpms, center stand, riding modes, 50 mpg (well, I am 73, after all), head light guard, top case (helmet in the picture not included), tires in good shape, oil change up to date, no issues mechanically or cosmetically. </p><p><br></p><p>NOTE: The Clearwater lights are very cool and can be customized to show as daytime running lights, to flash only when you hit the horn, or both…and with different levels of intensity. I currently have them to flash if I hit the horn and, with the a push of a button, they become daytime running lights. </p><p><br></p><p>Comes with owners manual and Clearwater lights manuals. <p>Low mileage for its age, yet has the battle scars showing how much it is loved. Many of miles and years are left in this baby. I’m the second owner. It spent the first five years and 5,700 miles of its life in the mountains outside of Colorado. I rode it to Pittsburgh in 2009. I was 51 years old and as glided through the twisties of Sunshine Canyon, I felt like I was 22 again. Maintenance is up to date, however, it does need new tires. Within the past two years I replaced the chain and sprockets, fork seals, battery, and installed a reusable air filter.Add-ons include Givi Rapid Release Side Case racks, Wolfman saddlebags, an SW Motech Top Case rack, SW Motech engine guards, Moose Racing Windscreen, and an aftermarket LED headlight. Most of my riding was in the city (providing one deigns to call Pittsburgh a city). I took it on annual 2,000 mile road trips, and several trips along fire roads in the state forests. The F-650GS was never intended to be an adventure or a dual sport bike. That said, with the engine guards and the 50/50 tires it performed well off the pavement.
