Bike has had a Vetter fairing on it previously and wiring harness is still installed if you wish to put a Vetter on it. Engine runs strong. <p>Great looking Honda Goldwing GL1000 LTD, very rare, mostly original condition, with original tool kit, and only 19663 miles on it. It has been in storage since 2004, the fuel tank has been cleaned, the carbs have been gone through thoroughly by Mark at D&D Discount Motorcycles! All internal carb parts were replaced with Randakks Orings and Honda Float valves, no cheap Chinese parts were used! The forks have been rebuilt with Progressive suspension springs installed, the master cylinders and brake calipers were rebuilt, new front brake lines were installed. It also has new front and rear Dunlop tires. It is in good shape, it looks to be repainted a while a go but the paint is in good condition, there is some pitting on the chrome parts from sitting,  some elbow grease may get most of it off. Only 28,700 miles on this beautiful piece of history. Stock setup with 90% original parts. Original chassis, bodywork, entire powertrain, seat, electrical and windshield. One of only a few 66s that was built with the `65 tank emblems, which looks much better than the common `66 version - IMHO. <br /><br />Aftermarket: mufflers, chrome spokes, rear brake master cylinder and brake wheel cylinder, voltage regulator, fuel valve, BDL primary belt drive (Which is better for the engine), S&S E-Series carb, AGM battery, rear chain, and JIMS tappets. New Pirelli Route 66 tires with less than 500 miles on them. These make the bike handle really well. To be honest, I would not hesitate to ride this bike anywhere. <br /><br />Rebuilt: Wheel hubs, generator, transmission, engine top end by Highway Choppers in 2001. Repainted like stock style. Note, I change the oil every 1000-1500 miles.<br /><br />Extra parts include new oil filters, Andrews gear set (If you wanted the taller first gear ratio. Stock gearing currently), OEM chain drive primary assembly, new points and condenser and passenger peg setup. I love this bike. I’ve owned it for 12-years. I’m just not riding as much anymore.
