2001 HARLEY DAVIDSON HERITAGE CLASSIC,

<p>1968 Triumph T100C. I bought the bike from my neighbor and spent 3 years restoring it. I finished the restoration about a year ago, and have been enjoying it since. I have the itch to restore another bike, so I have to make room in the garage. It had been modified over the years (low pipes, high bars, custom paint, extra chrome), so during restoration I decided to install the lower pipes and mufflers and the handlebars of the T100S and T100R (the S and R were road bikes, the C model was a scrambler). The T100 is a 500cc parallel twin, similar to the 650cc Tiger and Bonneville only with a smaller engine. 4-speed with right-side shift, single drum brakes front and rear, single carburetor. I completely disassembled the bike, restored everything, and reassembled it using new parts where needed. The clutch is rebuilt, new cables throughout, new primary chain, new rotor, new 3-phase stator to help with the available electrical power and help with keeping the battery charged. New tires, tubes, Triumph mufflers, electronic ignition, new coils, new wiring harness, new levers, grips and mirrors, original seat with repainted logo, gas tank was professionally painted, new fuel taps and lines, polished fenders with a protective coating to resist corrosion, tachometer professionally rebuilt. Engine has had the top end rebuilt, new valves, new valve springs, new base and head gaskets, cylinder repainted, cylinder head thoroughly cleaned, new piston rings on the original pistons, cylinder bore honed, new fluids throughout. Timing seals and gearbox outer case seals were replaced. The original case screws were replaced with stainless hex head screws. Engine cases were not split to rebuild the bottom end, as it only has 7600 miles on the bike from new (my neighbor’s brother bought it new, but passed in 2020). I've put about 500 miles on it since the restoration. Some spare parts and all of the original parts I removed come with the bike, along with a Triumph shop manual and some other books. A word of caution, as nice as this bike is to look at and ride, it is 56 years old. It’s not an everyday rider. It’s an old bike that will require a fair amount of maintenance to run properly and reliably, but it is easy to work on and simple, and can be done by most people with some mechanical skill.
