The Royal Enfield and Bullet names come from the British company having been a subcontractor to the Royal Small Arms Factory in Enfield London Royal Enfield was based in the UK from 1931 until 1966. India production began in 1955 and continues to run today. the bullet has evolved from a four-valve engine with an exposed valve gear to an all-alloy unit construction engine using electronic fuel injection.
