<p>Hi, Im selling my 1982 CX500 Turbo with 52,153 miles on it (will have a few extra miles for local rides and testing out the bike). My brother bought it new, and I bought it from him 25 to 30 years ago, making me the second owner. I have the title in hand in my name. Tags expire in August 2024. I havent been able to ride for a while so the bike sat for years without use. Good thing I had the foresight to add a fuel preservative so the tank and the fuel system are good to go. A couple months back, (with the help of brother #3, I rebuilt the rear caliper, and one of the front calipers due to being sticky. I replaced the front brake master cylinder due to being completely frozen. I replaced the engine oil and filter. I cleaned and relubed the sponge air filter. I replaced the battery, added some new gas and let my brother test ride the bike. The bike is running good and the turbo kicks in as it should. Checked the voltage while running and bike is charging well (good stator). All lights work as they should. The seat is in good shape, but was reupholstered years back. The pictures are good representation of how the bike actually looks. Its all original. Never crashed, just dropped on its side when coming to stop and losing balance. While the bike was parked in my garage, I had a bicycle hanging over it. While trying to get the bicycle down, I ended up dropping it on top of the motorcycle, which is why the top of the tank was slightly bent. The helmet hold/lock is broken. I'm all about full disclosure, so here are the known issues with bike if you take off my hands. Tires have good tread, but they are old. One of the valve covers has oil seepage. There also appears to be oil seepage coming from center upper part of engine. Paint is pealing on right handle bar plastic piece, as brake fluid from old brake master cylinder leaked on it (pictured). The final issue, which just happened, is when I reinstalled the cleaned air filter. When tightening the filter retention screw, the screw stripped, and I couldnt remove it. The rider can select three spectrums of use: ‘Comfort’, ‘Street’ and ‘Sport’, while the SCU (Suspension Control Unit) adapts the damping rates in real-time to the riding surface and rider, based on the information provided by a set of stroke sensors and accelerometers. It's extremely stable and weighs only 9.8 kg, which helps keep the overall weight down: 212 kg (ready to ride, without fuel) and 228 kg fully fueled and ready to race the sun.</p><ul><li>SINGLE-SIDED SWINGARM</li></ul><p>The jaw-droppingly beautiful, light alloy, single-sided swingarm on the KTM 1290 Super Duke GT is not only the lightest in its class, but also meticulously manufactured and generously dimensioned a reassuring partner when the Super Duke GT unleashes its full potential. The rear wheel is fitted to an axle that is 50 mm in diameter and bolted in place with a 60 mm central wheel nut. A high-precision, eccentric adjuster is used for tensioning the chain.</p><ul><li>BRAKES</li></ul><p>More than adequate deceleration is ensured at the front wheel by the two radially mounted Brembo M50 four-piston Monoblock calipers, actuated by a radial brake pump, each gripping onto floating 320 mm discs. The spacing between hand brake lever and handlebar is adjustable so that the lever is within easy reach for every rider. The front brake receives effective support from the disc brake on the rear wheel, which features a 240 mm diameter disc and a two-piston Brembo caliper.
