Big Dog Motorcycles Motorcycles for Sale

Big Dog Motorcycles began its journey in Wichita, KS in 1994. The bikes had a unique look to it that would be best described as a chopper and cruiser mixed. They released a total of nine lines of motorcycles, each named after a big dog. The K-9, Ridgeback, and the Husky were the first lines. The Boxer, Mastiff, and Pitbull followed shortly. The Pitbull received an “Excellence in Motorcycling Award in 2007. Coyote, Wolf, and Bulldog rounded out their lines. In April 2011, the company closed. They worked hard behind the scenes to redesign their business plan and refine the style. They re-opened their doors once again in 2017. One of the biggest changes to the bikes are the engines. It now features the largest engine in production specifically for their bikes. Big Dog Motorcycles does not produce all the lines as they once did. They are currently focused on the K9, Boxer, and Coyote. There are some similarities to the bikes. One difference is the Coyote has a carbureted ignition, the other two are fuel ignition. The final drive for the Boxer is chain whereas the others are belt. The fuel capacity for the K9 is 4.4 gallons and the Coyote is 3.8 gallons.
