Buell Motorcycles for Sale

In 1983, an engineer by the name of Erik Buell began this motorcycle company. Erik had once engineered bikes for Harley-Davidson and went out on his own. Erik was a racing guy in his early years. He raced in motor cross while he was in college. He was also a motorcycle repairperson at that time. His college studies were for an engineering degree. It is because of his love of racing and mechanics that led him to his own company. By 1993, Harley-Davidson owned 49% of Buell Motorcycles. The merger did Buell and Harley-Davidson good. In October of 2009, Harley-Davidson announced that Buell Motorcycles was closing. The very last motorcycle stepped off the line on October 30, 2009. The following month, Erik Buell launched a new company making racing bikes. In April 2015, the company filed for bankruptcy and closed its doors. Buell Motorcycles are still popular bikes that you can find for sale. They run well, when taken care of well. Finding some parts will be easy at Harley-Davidson. Not all parts will be easy to find, and buying a scrap bike is good for home maintenance and repair.
