<p>This Yamaha XT550 is all original <b>unrestored</b> with 703 original miles. The original owner was in the military and bought this bike and a matching XT250 at the same time. He preferred the XT250 so the XT550 was never ridden. Maintenance items have been replaced as it is a 40 plus year old motorcycle. I have replaced the fuel line, battery, air filter, oil and filter since I have owned it. The float needle was also replaced. The carburetors and gas tank are clean with no corrosion/rust. The tires are original also and will need to be replaced if you plan to really ride it. The last time it was registered was in 1988 before I purchased it. I have since registered it in Virginia and when I moved to Michigan it is registered here with antique plates so I can ride it occasionally. When I purchased it there were 564 miles on it and now there are 703. Mileage may increase as I ride this once in awhile to keep it fresh. Only non ethanol gas since I have owned it. Please look at the pictures as the bike is pretty immaculate. The tank is perfect with no dents scratches. The seat and tool bag do not have any cuts/cracks and look new. It starts on the first or second kick and runs perfect! The original tools and owners manual are in perfect condition. I have an original service manual that I purchased as well. Operation is performed by a button on the handlebars. STD Mode is set to accommodate a wide range of riding conditions.
