<p>H-D XR1200 in fast Orange. The XR1200 is the best Sportster most have never heard of. Based on the legendary XR-750 Flat Track Racer from the 70's, it was first introduced as a Europe only model then in 2009 it was released in the United States. </p><p><br></p><p>This bike is very fast with a wide power band, allowing easy cruising with instant passing power without having to downshift. I have owned this bike since 2013 when I bought it from Whitt's Harley Davidson in Manassas VA. As far as I know, I am the second owner unless you count the dealer then I would be third. It has been well cared for, being stored indoors and winterized properly. Keep in mind it is regularly ridden and shows signs of use, this is NOT a garage queen. Serviced regularly. I’ve taken this bike on 600 mile trips, used it as daily driver to work, weekend rides, and it has never left me stranded. </p><p><br></p><p>This bike has never had the dreaded fuel tank swelling that plagues most XR's, the cover fits on the tank with no issues and I have never had to replace the original tank. </p><p><br></p><p>Tuned and dyno’d showing 85.8 hp and 75.2 ft-lbs</p><p><br></p><p>About 5 years ago I had it parked in a gated and covered parking lot and someone stole the battery, only the battery strap was damaged which was replaced along with a new battery and side cover. However, the KTM 250 XC-F has for years been the leader, boasting a state-of-the-art engine management system, the strongest 250 cc 4-stroke engine in pit lane, and a high-performance, race-bred chassis setup, the KTM 250 XC-F remains an education in speed and agility.</p><p>Engine</p><p>The KTM 250 XC-F engine is known to be the strongest engine in the 250 cc 4-stroke class. Screaming to 14,000 RPM, but is equally happy producing tons of torque and low down, it's a perfectly versatile powerplant, with no compromise. Add to that also, compact architecture, excellent mass centralization, and a low weight of only 47.6 pounds, and the accolades begin to make perfect sense.</p><p>Cylinder head</p><p>The centerpiece of the compact DOHC (double overhead camshaft) engine is the cutting-edge cylinder head. It features two overhead camshafts, which activate titanium valves via super-light cam followers with a hard DLC coating. So just pin it, all day long.</p><p>Crankcases and engine covers</p><p>A lightweight engine case design allows for a very centralized shaft configuration while contributing to an efficient centralization of mass. Additionally, the engine covers feature a smart surface structure that reduces the wear caused by the rider's boots, keeping them looking as fresh as the day it rolled off the production line, while a reinforced clutch cover and engine guard mean the engine case is more robust.</p><p>Transmission</p><p>The KTM 250 XC-F is fitted with an ultra-slick 6-speed semi-close ratio PANKL transmission.
