My understanding is that the Piston and Lights/Horn being the only changes from the actual Race version. Per a 2010 Cycle World (CW) article, the Bayliss' bodywork is a lightweight plastic material called Terblend and the bellypan, seat assembly and front fender are carbon-fiber. CW's stock test TBLE scaled @ 399 lbs. Aldo Drudi's work commemorated Troy's three World Championships on three generations of Ducati Superbikes. In 2009 this rare Duc had a $43,995 MSRP, factoring in inflation, in today's money, a brand-new 1098R TBLE would carry a $64,400 MSRP.
