Lloydz V6 tune</p><p>2. Probrake brake levers. Original levers also.</p><p>3. Indian Comfort seat and OEM seat</p><p>4. Both the Indian short smoked wind screen and a clear midsize wind screen. Easy to change for trips or cooler weather.</p><p>5. It has the little Suzuki shift lever for crisper shifts.</p><p>6. Powerbronze rear wheel hugger</p><p>7. R&G Racing Aero sliders</p><p>8. Roland Sands rear bobbins</p><p>9. Black radiator guard</p><p>10. Black carbon fiber tank top</p><p>11. The original baffles were removed and replaced with medium sized chrome baffles. Now that the hole is drilled it is easy to remove these and go without baffles if you want.</p><p>12. Black metal skid plate.</p><p>13. <p>Tiger Explorer XRT</p><p>The all-­new Tiger Explorer XRT packs immense power and linear torque from its signature 1,215 cc triple engine and is optimized for road riding with cast wheels, ABS, traction control, and Brembo monobloc four-­piston radial calipers at the front, and a single 282 mm disc, two-­piston sliding caliper at the rear. <p>Tiger 800 XC ABS</p>We built the Tiger 800XC to be just like the Tiger 800, but with a little bit more. Using the rugged Tiger 800 as a starting point, we added a pack of special off-road equipment so you can keep on going when you run out of tarmac. The 3-cylinder engine is the same 800 cc triple found in the Tiger 800 so it's got loads of torque and muscular power. And the tough steel frame and long distance fuel range are from the Tiger 800 too. The added XC is what gives you the next-level off-road ability. This is a hard-core bike that you can cross continents on, whether or not there are roads going in that direction. Just load it up and go.<p></p>

<p>1981 BMW R80 G/S.  The one that started it all!  If you see a modern ADV that can tackle rough and varied terrain (but likely only sees the road lead</p><p style="margin-bottom: 1em;">Note:  Viewing of this bike is by appointment only.  Please call 463-212-7500 for information.</p><p style="margin-bottom: 1em;">Up for sale is a 1981 BMW R80 G/S.  The one that started it all!  If you see a modern ADV that can tackle rough and varied terrain (but likely only sees the road leading to the nearest coffee shop) then you can thank this bike for starting it.  When the G/S was released most people scratched their head and wondered just what the hell the thing was.  Those doubts are long gone. </p><p style="margin-bottom: 1em;">This specific G/S is in near new condition.  It’s absolutely spotless.  Every single switch and light works like new.  The clock still keeps good time!  It was purchased by the current owner from a former BMW dealer here in Indianapolis.  This was the owner’s bike, although technically it was owned by the shop as a “demo” bike.  If you test rode an ADV in the early 1980’s and lived in Indianapolis chances are good it’s this very bike you tested. </p><p style="margin-bottom: 1em;">Because the bike was a demo for over 40 years, technically the current owner is first owner of the bike.  When it was purchased the bike 1,840 miles on the odometer.  It now has a little over 2,300.  ONLY 2,300 MILES ON A BIKE OVER 40 YEARS OLD!!  The bike has a clean Indiana title. </p><p style="margin-bottom: 1em;">It comes with the original owners manual and service manual in excellent condition.  It even comes with the original BMW battery charger!  When purchased by the current owner in August of 2023 the fuel lines and tires were replaced and a full service was done.  The invoice for that work comes with the bike.  Since then it has been in a heated garage with a battery tender connected.</p><p style="margin-bottom: 1em;">The bike is seriously in near perfect condition as are the additional parts and peripherals.  It’s an absolute joy to look at and ride.  I know how I looked over 40 years ago and I have definitely not aged as well as this bike.  It’s doubtful you have either!</p><p style="margin-bottom: 1em;">YouTube of the bike running (you may have to copy and paste): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SvrG89MNJF8&feature=youtu.be</p><p style="margin-bottom: 1em;">For background information on this incredible and history making machine check out this link (you may have to copy and paste): https://silodrome.com/brief-history-bmw-r80-gs/</p><p></p>
