<p>Street Glide®</p><p style="margin-bottom: 1em;">The Harley Davidson Touring Street Glide was inspired by the streets. Its chassis is based on a rigid backbone frame and a stout swingarm, both carefully forged to be able to cope with the demands of long haul touring.                                    This one has some custom touches that set it apart from other bikes on the road. Starting with the chrome front end, extra wide, Chrome front wheel, The brake rotors have been changed to full floaters, and a super over-sized front tire, all topped off by a custom front fender.                                                                                                                                                                           The Stock bars have given way for a set that are wider, and taller than stock, and they are also chrome!! The sound system has been up graded with aftermarket speakers in the fairing, and it has lower leggings with large speakers in them. Tunes that ROCK!!!                                                                                                                                     The exhaust is a great sounding, 2 into 1 "Bassani" system. On the intake side of things, it sports a Screaming Eagle open air filter system.  It has a Harley tuner that is included with it too. <br>The Harley-Davidson Touring FLHX Street Glide is powered by an air-cooled Twin Cam 103 engine with integrated oil-cooler. The engine has a 1690cc displacement and is paired with a 6-Speed Cruise Drive. Fat tires and full fenders pull the visual weight down low along with the seat at only 28.2-inches high, and the chrome trim and skirt on the front fender ties into classic details from earlier models.  The FLHR replaced the Electra Glide Sport as Harley’s non-faired bagger, but if you look hard enough you can see shades of the old “Duo Glide” FL in the front end, fuel tank and tank-mount instrument console from the late ’50s. <br>Skirted, large-diameter forks and a beefy headlamp nacelle bulk up the front end with whisker bar-mounted pimp lights (passing lamps) and large windshield that further add to the nostalgia. In fact, the front end looks as though it could have come off almost any FL in the last 50 years or so, so it presents a very classic face when viewed from head on.<br>Since there is no front fairing, the instruments are mounted in a tank-mount dash with an analog speedometer and digital display that can cycle through the odometer, tach, trip meter and more via the new trigger switch. It’s affectionately referred to as T Rex because its model code name is FLTRXS.  But that big frame-mounted fairing has its uses.  It means that high-speed highway weaving caused by turbulence from trucks and vans does not happen because the fairing is divorced form the forks.  It also means there is less weight on the forks, so low-speed steering is light and relatively nimble for such a big beast.  <br>The wind-tunnel-tested fairing also has three vents which direct smooth, cooling air toward the rider, while also preventing turbulence caused by a big fairing pushing the air aside at speed.<br>So you sit in a fresh bubble of smooth air so you can hear the superb audio system at highway speeds.<br>The vents can be closed when it rains, but if you leave them open, the rain doesn’t prick your face like needles. In fact, it feels soft and on a hot day, it’s quite refreshing.<br>That fairing may appear ugly to some, but it’s a superb piece of engineering.                               It’s powered by the 103in Twin Cam engine The engine is smooth, refined, revs long, doesn’t detonate when labored and will pull from anywhere on the dial.      It’s a delight to ride, it is a workhorse that delivers.</p><p></p>

2012 Harley-Davidson Street Glide, <p>The Harley Davidson Touring Street Glide was inspired by the streets. Its chassis is based on a rigid backbone frame and a stout swingarm, both carefully forged to be able to cope with the demands of long haul touring.                                    This one has some custom touches that set it apart from other bikes on the road. Starting with the chrome front end, extra wide, Chrome front wheel, The brake rotors have been changed to full floaters, and a super over-sized front tire, all topped off by a custom front fender.                                                                                                                                                                           The Stock bars have given way for a set that are wider, and taller than stock, and they are also chrome!! The sound system has been up graded with aftermarket speakers in the fairing, and it has lower leggings with large speakers in them. Tunes that ROCK!!!                                                                                                                                     The exhaust is a great sounding, 2 into 1 "Bassani" system. On the intake side of things, it sports a Screaming Eagle open air filter system.  It has a Harley tuner that is included with it too. </p> <p>The Harley-Davidson Touring FLHX Street Glide is powered by an air-cooled Twin Cam 103 engine with integrated oil-cooler. The engine has a 1690cc displacement and is paired with a 6-Speed Cruise Drive. <p style="margin-bottom: 1em;">This bike is a 2005 Harley Davidson  Electra Glide Classic, which means that in addition the saddlebags, trunk (called a King Tour-Pak in Harley-speak), and fork-mounted "batwing" fairing with an touring windshield on it. The Classic is equipped with a full complement of bells and whistles. That includes spotlights, and an audio system. This one has a carbureted 88\' engine, backed up by a smooth shifting five speed transmission. I know there are a lot of folks that would rather has a carbureted engine, over the more complicated fuel injection.   For the open road, it will also have cruise control.  The audio package includes an AM/FM/Weather band and C/D player. It delivers sound through two speakers (two in the fairing).                                                                                                                                                     This one has been treated to some extra chrome goodies, nice touch!!     The tires look like new!!!                                                                                 The bike has been fully serviced by our service dept.
