Used 1999 HONDA VALKYRIE INTERSTATE for sale

1974 Norton Commando Roadster, 13,541 original miles, matching numbers on engine and frame. I am re-listing this from last fall. The bike has been stored and covered in my garage for several years, but has just been serviced and brought to life with a new Boyer ignition, new petcocks, new plugs, fresh oil, clean carbs, etc. The bike needs a new front rotor which the next owner can attend to. <p>The bike is in excellent condition very reliable suitable as a daily rider. It would only take cleaning and polishing to bring it up to show level condition. Matching numbers and as it would have come from the factory.I purchased the bike in 2012. It had had a full restoration by a Californian professional shop in the late 90s and hadn't been used since then. I only rode from 2012 until 2018 once a month for several hours as I had 4 bikes. It was my favourite classic to ride as it had so much more power and so much smoother than my 68 Triumph Bonneville. It has probably done less than 4,000 miles since the full rebuild. It always started 2nd kick and ran smoothly never needing adjustments due to its electronic ignition and single Mikuni carb. Original carbs , cables and airbox come with the bike. I have only had to replace the tires and battery. Since 2018 it has been kicked over monthly but only ridden once a year. In each case after charging the battery, changing the fuel and cleaning float bowl it would start after only a few kicks. Due to my health and age I have not been able to ride for some time and have had to admit now I am 74 with declining health it's time to let her go. It does not burn oil and runs perfectly. The only issue is a slight oil leak from the kick starter for which I have the seal and gasket. I am on Lummi Island which is a 6 minute car ferry ride from Bellingham WA. The ferry runs 2 or 3 times and hour. If you want the original super bike you can ride frequently and over long distances with utter reliability, this is it. </p><p>Due to the number of scam texts I will require that we have a live conversation and after that a photo ID must be provided. </p>

1982 HONDA Silver Wing Interstate, A rare and neat blast from the past, before the name was used for a big scooter the Silver Wing was the 'baby Gold Wing', the GL500 is powered by a liquid cooled transverse mounted 80* v-twin with a shaft final drive, adjustable front & rear air suspension and a 4.6 gallon fuel tank. Meant to be a mid-size touring bike for it's time, this Interstate model features a full fairing with windscreen & storage pouches, hard locking color matched detachable luggage and a unique interchangeable rear seat / rear cargo box that allow you to choose between being able to take a passenger or to have more storage with the travel trunk (the rear seat is not pictured but is included). Looking back this was one of Honda's most innovative mid-size bikes and became known world wide in its brief production run for being a practical, reliable and long service life machine, being used for courier type services as well as leisure riding, racking up lots of miles. This pretty clean '82 with just under 29k miles is all there in good shape, runs and rides out very well and appears to need nothing to be ridden for many more happy miles, at only $2,995.00 it's an attractive proposition!<br/>
