HYPERMOTARD 1100 NEIMAN MARCUS LIMITED EDITION 1100 NEIMAN MARCUS LIMITED EDITION

In 2008 & 2009 the Neiman-Marcus Men's Fall Catalog offered Online & Catalog Shoppers the opportunity to have esteemed Ducati Dallas, TX Dealer AMS add the Options and Accessories of their choice using a White 1100 Hypermotard as a Base to create a brand-new one-of-a-kind Ducati. AMS told me they only made about ten (10) of them and this is #5.The pair of stock Exhaust Cans and the Catalytic Converter were removed and a Y Pipe and a Single Carbon Fiber Termi Can installed along with a Race ECU. AMS would then tune the bike properly and continue to add the other choice pieces.

Other Options when this N-M #5 was created include a GPR4 Steering Stabilizer, a Ducati Performance (DP) Seat, Clutch Basket, and Open Clutch Cover and then a Tinted Windscreen. End result was essentially a Race Bike under the guise of a Titled White Hypermotard 1100.

My Tricolore has documents showing it has been fully serviced by:

Selling Dealer Patagonia Motorsports with new Oil, Filter, DOT Brake and Clutch Fluid, as well as a Full Systems analysis showing it might need new Belts.

Upon Delivery, I paid local Ducati Dealer Monterey Peninsula Powersports (MPP) to install four (4) new OE NGK Plugs for the L-Twin, two new Ducati Timing Belts and a Ducati Air Filter. Their report noted the dry clutch discs were a bit more noisy than normal due to oxidation/sitting, but reassured me that it would burn off. Well; as I did not want unnecessary jangling B-B-Q Utensil sound, I authorized MPP's quote of One (1) hour of Labor to take the clutch apart and clean it. Unfortunately, the Ducati Tech was unsuccessful in putting the Clutch back together. Alas, they did not charge me for their wayward efforts. I promptly ordered a new Ducati Clutch Pack and new Springs and here it is a year and a half later, and I have yet to have Humpty put back together again as MPP ended up going belly-up, karma.

Too bad, as I was really excited about riding my $11.5K Duc investment.

The exhaust note is far superior to either my previous 2007 1098S Tricolore, my current 2009 1098R TBLE currently listed here on CT or my previously new 2022 Desert Sled Fasthouse.

Alas, I just bought two new Ducati Oil Filters, Crush gaskets and have two changes of SAE10W-40 Royal Purple to clean and preserve the engine as well as help it run cooler and up the fun factor.

Just received two Brand-New Continental Sport Attack Tires in OE 17" Sizes of 180/55 and 120/70, subtract $200 w/o Contis while I am still able to return them.
