Kawasaki Z1 Motorcycles for Sale

Kawasaki manufactured the Kawasaki Z1 from 1972 to 1975. It was a four-cylinder, double overhead camshaft, carbureted, chain drive motorcycle. It became popular for being an innovative machine of that time. The only motorcycle that was a direct competitor was the MV Agusta 750S.
When the Kawasaki Z1 hit the market, it did have various names depending on the market. You will find it listed as Z1-900, 900 Z1, or 900 S4. It features an electric start and a full instrument panel. Max speeds would reach 130-132 mph. It was praised for a smooth ride, damped vibration, and easy starting (kickstart was equipped alongside the electric). Steering was accurate and the bike had exceptional straight-line stability. Be advised that there were some complaints about the bike. Most were concerned about the rear tire, shocks, and chain wearing out too quickly.
The Kawasaki Z1 set a world FIM and AMA record when it was introduced in 1972. It recorded 2,631miles on the banked Daytona Racetrack at an average speed of 109 mph during a 24-hour period. It was an exceptional bike for its time and is a great option when looking for vintage models. At the end of 1975, the bike was retired. It was succeeded by the Kawasaki KZ900, also known as the Z900 in other markets, that was welcomed by the motorcycle community.
