Ktm 500 Motorcycles for Sale

The KTM 500 is one model in the EXC series of four-stroke Enduro off-road motorcycles made by KTM. It has been in production since 1999 and is also known as the KTM 500 XC-W. It is essentially the same as the 400 and 450 EXC but there have been changes to the stroke for larger displacement. The 500, 520, 525, and 530 all feature 510.4 CC Motors and are given different model numbers to distinguish between them.
2007 was the first year the EXC motorcycle was deemed street legal in the United States. In 2008, the US version of the EXC featuring a new XC-4 motor was sold in street-legal trim. In 2012, the street-legal 530EXC-R was renamed the 500 EXC. Since then, the dual-sport Enduro dirt bike street legal in all 50 states powered by a 510cc SOHC engine.
Dual sport bikes are street legal motorcycles designed for both on and off-road use. They are equipped with street-legal equipment such a speedometer, mirrors, horn, lights, license plate mounting so they can be registered and licensed but are capable of off-road use as well. Enduro refers to a motorcycle sport that is run on extended cross country and off-road courses. They use dual sport bikes to cover the street portions of courses where a bike must be street legal to run on the course.
