Ryan Ragland began StaCyc in 2016 with the determination to offer e-bikes to kids in the United States.
StaCyc calls these bikes the Stability Cycle, because they are the perfect starter bike for children to start motorcycle riding. The frame, tires, bike weight, and low speeds contribute to the stability of the bike.
Bikes are available in 12 or 16 inches and use a 20-volt battery. Charge time for battery is 30 minutes and run time ranges from 30-60 minutes.
Until 2019, the bikes were sold through powersport shops and specialty bike shops around the country.
Harley-Davidson Motorcycles purchased StaCyc in early 2019 while keeping Ryan Ragland on board as CEO of the sub-company. Harley entered the electric motorcycles field to keep them in the motorcycle game. There are plans in place to add light- and middleweight models to the StaCyc family in 2021. It appears that there won’t be changes to the shops selling StaCyc e-bikes but there will be a special Harley-Davidson branded model sold at select Harley-Davidson dealerships. Find Motorcycles in .
