G80 CLUBMAN SINGLE
<p>I have been riding this bike for a few years now in southern Indiana and Vermont. This is an excellent and original 1966 Matchless G80 that was also sold as a Norton E-5, with everything original and operating correctly including the speedometer. This is the last year of production, and this late production run included the competition short stroke engine that was standard in the competition CS models. Its engine number is 135302, I think it is the 34th to the last one made. It runs well and starts easily. The motorcycle has 17,936 miles. The only changes from stock are a Boyer Bransden electronic ignition along with a 6-volt positive ground solid state regulator/rectifier, an aftermarket air filter and I had the gas tank repainted. I understand while it is a stock color and design, it is not the stock paint design for that model and year. It has new Heidenau K60 tires in the past 500 miles front and rear.
