The FrameThe Vespa is a uni-body frame and after 60 years on this earth rust is enviable. After complete disassembly, the frame was dipped in HydrochloricAcid, this removes all the rust you see and all the rust you dont see, then the frame was repaired and after as an extra measure, the frame was dipped in a Hot-dip galvanizing process of immersing iron or steel in a bath of molten zinc to produce a corrosion resistant, multi-layered coating of zinc-iron alloy. Paint and Body After The frame was dipped in Hydrochloric Acid, any imperfections are repaired with Metal Filling (Bondo filling is never used, Bondo is body filling and a substandard way to fill imperfections in metal, its a resin of mix of talc and plastic and over time It cracks and discolors the finished paint job) after galvanized to prevent rust, Then the frame was professionally painted with 3M primer and paint by a professional with 30 years experience of painting motorcycles and motor scooters. AssemblyEverything that could and should have been replaced was replaced with original Vespa parts from the entire electrical system to every bolt, washer, and nut.
