Polaris Motorcycles for Sale

Polaris Industries started out building farm equipment in 1954. It was started by two brothers in Roseau, Minnesota. Just two years after its founding, the brothers produced an early version of the snowmobile we all know today. It soon became the world's largest manufacturer of the vehicle. Now they've branched out into the manufacture of off-road vehicles and motorcycles. In fact, the company is ranked second only to the iconic Harley Davidson brand in motorcycle production. Polaris manufacturers a large variety of leisure vehicles and watercraft. In 1985, they introduced the first American-made ATV. They then began making personal watercraft in 1992 with the four-seater Genesis, which was on the market for the next 12 years. This is a company of reinvention. In 1998, they entered the motorcycle market with the American -made Victory, which they sold for a decade until the company decided to halt production on the model in 2017.

One of its best-known vehicles is the RZR side-by-side. This utility task vehicle (UTV) came out in 2007 and made Polaris a forerunner of powersports vehicles. In 2011, the company purchased the bankrupt Indian Motorcycles in yet another move to broaden its horizons. They revolutionized three-wheel motorcycles with their innovative Slingshot, which has two wheels in the front and one in the back. In 2015, Polaris bought out Brammo and began manufacturing electric motorcycles.
