Speaking of controls, the rear brake pedal is now considerably stronger to prevent it from getting bent out of shape in a crash or catching the ground when you're railing through a deep rut. There’s only one difference between the EX 250 and EX 300—the width of the bore. The EX 300’s 72mm bore is downsized to 66.4mm to get to a displacement of 249cc. According to GasGas, the EX 250 is “a little livelier, a little more revvy” than the 300.</p><p>The EX 250 gets all the features we like on the EX 300, including transfer-port fuel injection with a 39mm Dell’Orto throttle body, oil injection, and a power valve.
