Besides being very light weight, the 35 mm USD forks feature exceptional damping and comfort characteristics allowing the rider to push the limit with complete confidence. With 215 mm of wheel travel, the air unit in the left fork leg can also be adjusted easily with the use of an air pump for rider preference, weight or track conditions.</p><ul><li>Rear shock</li></ul><p>Linked directly to the swingarm, the WP monoshock is matched perfectly to the front forks for the perfect balance and damping characteristics. Additionally, the rear shock offers 270mm of suspension travel and is fully adjustable allowing it to be tailored to rider preferences or track conditions.</p><ul><li>Brakes</li></ul><p>Featuring the same level of technology offered on the full-size motocross range, the TC 65 is fitted with hydraulically operated brake callipers and large waved front (198mm) and rear (160mm) brake discs. The system ensures advanced brake feeling and stopping performance in all conditions.</p><ul><li>Bodywork</li></ul><p>The bodywork of the TC 65 is modelled after the successful full size motocross range. This means that when scaled down, the smaller riders experience the same contact points and ergonomic feeling instilling confidence and comfort in all riding conditions allowing the rider to perform at their peak for longer periods of time.</p>

<p><strong>Features May Include:</strong></p><ul><li>Frame</li></ul><p>The modern frame design of the SX models, built from lightweight, high strength, chrome-molybdenum steel section tubes, combines maximum longitudinal stiffness with optimum torsional stiffness. A forged and milled cross-peice connects the two frame halves with the connecting rod of the linkage on the 2015 SX frame. Omission of the weld seams leads to very precise manufacturing tolerances and it saves another 60 grams of weight.</p><ul><li>Linkage / Shock Absorber</li></ul><p>The revamped damping system for MY 2015 features a new linkage with optimized geometry. The flatter progression with a higher initial rate ensures greater stability and lowers the rear end. In addition, the new design saves another 40 grams of weight. The fully adjustable WP 5018 shock absorber has been completely retuned to suit the new linkage.</p><ul><li>Fork</li></ul><p>The fully adjustable upside-down fork from WP Suspension has been perfectly tuned to the new rear wheel damping system and the new 22 mm front axle (formerly 26 mm) for MY 2015. The new axle provides a better feel for the front wheel and also saves a further 40 grams. The new fork stubs now feature an offset of 33 mm instead of 35 mm, which together with increased trail deliver greater ride stability. Furthermore, they accommodate newly developed, 50 gram lighter fork protectors.</p><ul><li>Triple Clamps</li></ul><p>High quality, CNC-machined triple clamps have long since been standard equipment at KTM. They ensure precise handling and provide a perceptible boost to the flexing characteristics and hence the responsiveness of the telescopic fork. The new O-ring carrier for the lower steering head bearing, a revised shaft tube and the new steering head bolt save another 40 grams.</p><ul><li>Wheels</li></ul><p>The wheels fitted for MY 2015 feature black coated, high-end Excel rims with lightweight, CNC-machined hubs and spokes with lightweight aluminium nipples, allowing highest levels of stability to be achieved, while keeping weight to a minimum. New Dunlop Geomax MX 52 tires were developed in collaboration with the KTM USA factory team and offer perfect traction with top performance. The new rear sprockets save 50 grams in unsprung mass.</p><ul><li>Brakes</li></ul><p>High-tech brakes from Brembo have always been standard equipment on KTM offroad bikes and, together with the lightweight Galfer Wave brake discs, they are the measure of all things in terms of brake technology. As the best brakes in the motocross class, they remain unchanged for MY 2015.</p>

<p><strong>Standard Features May Include:</strong></p><ul><li>Liquid-cooled, DOHC 4-valve, fuel-injected engine with the same forward-positioned, straight intake, rear-inclined cylinder, and rear-positioned exhaust layout as the YZ450F.</li><li>The 4-titanium-valve cylinder head is matched to a fuel injection system that provides power at mid-to-high rpm. The fuel injection system instantly adjusts the air/fuel mixtures depending on altitude and temperature, for a hesitation-free engine that delivers no matter the conditions.</li><li>The aluminum Bilateral Beam frame offers a superb rigidity balance and provides unmatched lightweight handling.</li><li>The exhaust pipe has an innovative layout, circling the cylinder, giving the exhaust pipe proper length for an excellent exhaust pulse effect. At the same time, the exhaust pipe has three different diameters throughout the exhaust tract, bringing out excellent power characteristics. This layout allows the silencer behind the side panel, making it closer to the middle of the bike for centralized mass for superior handling.</li><li>The layout of the seat, fuel tank, air box, and wrap-around exhaust system moves the bike’s mass towards the center for exceptional handling. The front intake layout with large air filter element adds the benefit of reduced air filter maintenance due to its positioning away from dirt roost from the rear wheel.</li><li>Accessory GYTR® Power Tuner lets owners adjust air/fuel mixture and ignition timing maps to match engine performance characteristics to the rider and track conditions in a matter of seconds with the push of a few buttons.</li><li>The adjustable fuel injection system uses a 44mm throttle body fed by a high-pressure battery-less electric fuel pump. This ensures optimum fuel atomization and air/fuel calibration for excellent rideability in a wide range of riding conditions. The system controls the volume of fuel injected and the ignition timing based on engine rpm and throttle opening, providing hesitation-free response and controllability.</li><li>The compact wet sump lubrication system with piston cooler spray jet maintains excellent engine durability and eliminates the need for an oil tank, which lowers engine weight. This creates a more compact engine that contributes to mass centralization and unmatched handling.</li><li>The large diameter 22mm front axle and top triple clamp increases rigidity for excellent handling and front end feel. The handlebar mounts are rubber mounted to improve comfort and reduce handlebar vibration.</li><li>The air filter is positioned away from the rear wheel which means less maintenance for the rider.</li></ul>

<p><strong>On The Gas!</strong></p><p>Anyone who’s ever raced in the Lites class knows that your bike better be perfect if you expect to win. With a 450, all that power can help you erase a mistake, but on a 250 if you give an inch the rest of the pack is going to use you for traction.</p><p>That’s why the new 2013 CRF®250R doesn’t give an inch. We took the 2012 Lites East AND West SX champion and gave it an even sharper edge. Updates include a larger high speed compression adjuster on the shock for improved low-speed damping, along with a stiffer fork spring up front and more high-speed compression damping adjustability in the rear. New Dunlop MX51 tires improve drive feeling and save weight, and new disc covers channel some of the 450’s style into the 250 class.</p><p>Of course we’ve kept the features that put the CRF®250R on the top podium box all across the country: its twin-spar aluminum frame, Unicam engine with fuel injection (new ECU settings this year for better low- and mid-rpm performance), and the exclusive Honda Progressive Steering Damper. <p><strong>Highlights</strong></p><p>2012 KX450F riders can easily activate the new Launch Control mode – a key feature never before seen on a production motocross bike. The push-button system is activated by a touch of the switch on the left handlebar, and optimizes off-the-line acceleration by altering ignition timing in first and second gears to help maximize grip and reduce the chance of excessive wheelspin. Shifting into third gear automatically deactivates Launch Control Mode and returns the ignition timing to the parameters of the installed ignition map. The Launch Control’s effectiveness is further enhanced by a chassis designed to maximize suspension performance and rear wheel traction.</p><p>No other production motocrosser offers a higher degree of adjustability to the rider interface or engine character than the new 2012 KX450F. With a choice of four different handlebar positions, two footpeg positions, and virtually unlimited ignition mapping capabilities – thanks to its advanced Digital Fuel Injection (DFI®) system – the KX450F is uniquely able to adapt to changing track and surface conditions and meet the needs of a surprisingly wide range of riders.</p><p>The DFI system comes with pre-programmed ignition maps, but new for 2012, these maps are interchangeable without the use of a laptop computer – or other separate electronic devices. Maps can quickly and easily be changed between three settings – standard, hard (conditions) and soft (conditions) – by swapping the DFI wire coupler cap clipped to the side of the steering head. No additional accessories are needed to alternate between preprogrammed settings – simply install the coupler cap with your desired ignition mode and start winning. The ECU is also still fully re-programmable by using the accessory KX FI Calibration Kit, the same tool used by Kawasaki factory and privateer teams in AMA and FIM racing.</p><p>The five-speed manual transmission handles the torque load with an ideal balance of precision and durability, thanks to an extra dog on the gears (up from 3 to 4) which improves shift feel. A new, shorter shift fork gives a smoother, more positive feel and reduces stress when changing gears, making shift action more efficient, while a new first gear is 2.8 mm thicker to enhance strength and durability. A new shift lever moves the pedal 3mm farther from the footpeg and offers greater durability. Finally, heavier clutch springs help channel the engine’s considerable torque when rocketing out of the gate.</p>
