Suzuki INTRUDER Motorcycles for Sale

The Suzuki Intruder is a line of bikes that were available from 1985 to 2005. They were a cruising motorcycle that evolved into the Boulevard. The first two bikes made were the 700 and the 1400. The smaller motorcycle was made to avoid tariffs on imported bikes. The 1400, which had a 1360cc engine, was to compete with Harley Evolution and Kawasaki Vulcan.
After the Suzuki Intruder 700 was first released, tariff laws changed. 700s got an upgrade to a 750 until 1991. In 1992, the motorcycle became an 800 with a larger engine. The radiator and forks for the engine were also enlarged to suit the size and style. This continued until the year 2004.
In 2005, the Suzuki Intruder was then redesigned and rebranded as the Boulevard. You will still find Intruders on the used market that are in excellent shape. All Intruders feature a four- or five-speed transmission. They connect to a shaft drive that brings power to the rear wheel. While the five-speed was available to the European market in 1991, the US did not see this until 1997.
For models 800 and smaller models, the front had disc brakes and in the rear was a brake drum. Models VS1400 and LC1500 used single disc brakes in the front and rear. One special feature that stood out was on the VS1400 model in 1990. A map boost sensor was for increasing highway mileage. It was not added to any other models.
