Suzuki KATANA Motorcycles for Sale

The Suzuki Katana has a long history. It's a standard cycle that was first produced by the Japanese motorcycle manufacturer in 1981. It was consistently manufactured every year thereafter until 2006.
The company reintroduced this iconic bike in 2019.
The Katana's design was implemented in the hiring of former BMW stylist, Hans Muth by Suzuki. Muth worked with Hans-Georg Kasten and Jan Fellstrom to conceptual the final design concepts that were unveiled to the public. These were known as the ED1 and ED2 version. ED, in this instance, stands for European Design.
In 1980, upon its debut, the GSX1100S Suzuki Katana was touted as "fastest mass-produced motorcycle in the world." by Suzuki. Not only did this cycle offer speed, it had a design that departed from the status quo. This led many in the industry to believe the bike wouldn't be appealing to consumers. They were wrong.
The Katana became a huge sales success and went on to influence motorcycle design across the board.
Even today, you can still spot designs aspects of the original Katana can be seen in lots of popular sports bikes. Such aspects include the faired-in portions of the cycle's seat and tank.
Several versions of the Suzuki Katana have been released over the years. The newest release of the 2020 model in 2019 is based on the GSX-S1000F with the K5 engine of the GSX-R1000. Its overall styling is reminiscent of the original design from 1981.
