The Triumph America, also known as the Triumph Bonneville America is a British motorcycle that was designed and built in Hinckley Leicestershire buy Triumph motorcycle is limited. It was produced from 2002 until 2007.
Compared to the standard Bonneville, the Triumph America offered a different ride. The wheelbase was extended, and the saddle lowered. The steering head rank angle was increased by 4.3 degrees. The America also featured a larger fuel tank with chrome plastic console. it was also adjusted to provide the retro look of the air filter covers from the 1960 Triumph twins. The footrest was also moved to the front of the engine to create a cruiser riding position.
From 2002 until 2006 the Triumph America featured a 790-cc engine, but it was upgraded for the 2007 model and beyond, it featured an 865-cc engine. The engine was air-cooled, DOHC and parallel twin. In 2008, there was a switch from a carbureted engine to a fuel injected engine for the UK version because it needed to meet the European emission legislation. The fuel injectors are concealed by dummy carburetors. The US version of the Triumph American wasn't upgraded to EFI until 2009.
