Triumph THRUXTON Motorcycles for Sale

The Triumph Thruxton refers to a series of British motorcycles, each of which are parallel-twin cafe racers. Three bikes in the series are the Thruxton Bonneville, Thruxton 900, and Thruxton 1200. The name comes from a race track in Hampshire called Thruxton Circuit. In 1969, the Triumph won all three places in the prestigious Thruxton 500-mile endurance race.
The Triumph Thruxton Bonneville was the first of the series to be produced in 1965. It was a hand-built, limited-edition racer built by Triumph Engineering at their Meriden Works location. The Thruxton 900didn't come about until 2004, when the Triumph Motorcycles factory in Hinckley decided to re-introduce the iconic name. This bike had an air-cooled 360-degree twin cylinder engine and included hallmark cafe racer modifications such as a small flyscreen, analogue instruments, reverse footrests, seat cowl, and reverse-cone exhaust silencers.
Later, in 2016, the Triumph Thruxton 1200 was rolled out. This bike boasts conventional cartridge forks and fixed discs. It also features ABS and traction control. In addition, there are ride by wire throttles that have three modes. These are sport, road and rain. The 1200 provides significantly more power than the 900 with an increase of 42%. There is also a 1200R version of this model.
