Of course, they gave it a very thorough safety check and diagnostic evaluation. What you may not know, however, is that the guys on our team seem to get some strange satisfaction when they discover some flaw, something broken or missing, or any unexpected performance anomaly. And the better a bike looks when it comes in, the harder they look to find those glitches. So, in this case, what did they find? A dead battery. Yeah, that’s it. Disappointing for them because a dead battery is not at all unusual for a bike that has spent more time in the garage than on the road. So they installed a NEW BATTERY, then did a pro-forma Bi-Annual Service which is basically a full oil/filter change and brake fluid change. As an added security measure, they also filled the tires with Nitrogen which maximizes their wear and performance characteristics.
