1997 Suzuki TL1000S Fuel Injected V-Twin with only 5,225k miles! Super clean bike! Never wrecked! Owned this since 1999 and I've avoided the "Widowmaker" moniker this bike was given due to power, tank slap and suspension issues. The bike does have a steering stabilizer on it which stops the "tank slap" of the handlebars. Never had an issue there. Yoshimura RS-3 Carbon Fiber exhaust. K&N Air Filter. DynoJet Tuner. New plug, Synthetic oil & filter, performance clutches and new front tire just last year all with probably 100 miles on it since then. This is the year to have the S model as it has the 135hp engine which is the same as the R model received in 1998 and the S model was then detuned. 79 ft/lbs Torque. Top speed of 165mph. Solo seat cover is pictured and there is a seat pad for a passenger that it can be swapped out with. I also have a tank cover. You'd be hard pressed to find a chip in the paint although it does need detailed right now. I'm a Harley guy now and you can tell by the mileage I hardly ever used it. I'd go out for a quick half hour trip and back most of the time. Also billed as a torque monster this bike will pop a wheelie off the start with no clutch just blipping the throttle and I've seen videos of riders going down the drag strip in a wheelie the whole way! These bikes are becoming rare and will be a collectors item soon and I've already seen them in a few motorcycle books already as they've earned a place in motorcycle history.

Move up a level to the XT, and you get quite a bit more: S.I.R.S, spoked wheels, an adjustable seat, a center stand, engine guards, a lower cowl, an adjustable windscreen, more stylish mirrors and handguards, and two color options: eye-catching Champion Yellow No. 2 with a blue seat and accents, and Pearl Brilliant White/Glass Blaze orange.</p><p> </p><p>Despite all of the changes, in motion, the V-Strom is still a V-Strom at heart, which is a good thing. It's still extremely comfortable and solid as a rock at speed. In my opinion, there just isn't a motorcycle more comfortable to ride on the street than the V-Strom, except for perhaps a Honda Gold Wing (even then). Luckily, nothing has changed in that department for 2020 when it comes to the 'Strom; however, what has changed is power-there is more of it. It still has great bottom-to-mid pull but definitely delivers the goods much better than before from mid on up. The V-Strom has always had a strong but not necessarily exciting motor, but now it has a little bit more of both. Even the engine sounds a bit more "enthusiastic."</p><p> </p><p>You'll easily notice the difference between the three engine modes. "B" seems to find the happy medium between the noticeably more aggressive and abrupt "A" mode and the mellower "C" mode. Small lightweight bike, perfect for cruising the town, taking it camping, or a nice pit bike / swap meet bike. This is a two-stroke engine with perfectly working oil injection. Just keep gas in the gas tank, and oil in the oil tank...and the bike takes care of the rest. The electric start makes it much easier to ride than similar bikes from this era that are mostly kickstart only.<br><br>This bike is in original condition, unmolested. Original paint, turn signals, gauges, etc. Everything works like it should. Some of the chrome has the typical pitting which is common on bikes of this era. Tank paint has a row of small chips (looks like maybe a rake fell on it...not dented, just chips). Overall a great looking classic two stroke Suzuki...not a museum piece, but still a really cool looking rider.<br><br>This bike has been inspected & serviced.
