If this is the bike for you, you already know it. One of the best bikes for a learner/beginner or for anyone who appreciates the "full-throttle" fun of a lightweight 250. This was the final year of manufacture of this legendary workhorse of a bike and the only year with the beautiful black with blue accent design. These bikes maintain world-wide appeal to a niche enthusiast group and are becoming harder to find. I purchased at 2000 miles from a retired couple who realized it wasn't the best choice for two-up riding of two large people. Bike has T-Rex Racing grab bar/rear rack/backrest, a Koso analog tachometer I added, Booster Plug ambient-temp throttle tuning device, side offset rollers to keep saddlebags off the springs, worn but fully usable saddlebags, an Enduristan rally tail bag, spiral-bound printed service manual, assorted spare parts like plugs, gaskets, brake lever, a new Battlax BT46 rear tire with 100 miles on it, original front tire with plenty of tread. There is a pressed-in spot on the right side of the tank that has no paint damage and should be possible to pull out with suction - I have moved on to a larger bike and stopped working on the TU.

Perfect bike for the city or to learn on. Easy to control, easy to maintain.
