Howdy allHave a 1973 Triumph T140V Bonneville 750 for sale.First-year five-speed (still shifts on the right), first-year performance 'parallel' port heads with 34mm MkII carburetors, and first-year disc brake on the front.Previous owner completed:The upper end, from pistons (he said .20 over stock) to new valve seats, guides, valves, and springs, are unique, and the motor runs tight. Starts up the first kick every time.A new OEM cloth-covered wiring harness with a new sealed battery. I don't know about you, but I've wired two Triumphs in my life, and it takes a lot of time to do it right. If you don't do it yourself, it's expensive.Configured the head carb combination so he could run the 69' and earlier, small, rounded side covers (I have the 750 decals, but I'm going to let you put them on as I couldn't find 'straight' if my life depended on it). In fact, I've got several new decals that appear on this model.He replaced everything on the bars, including all switches, switch housings, brake master cylinder/lever, clutch perch/lever, hoses, and clutch cable. He also replaced the front steel chrome wheel with a Zweibrucken aluminum rim with stainless nipples and spokes, which some people do to lose weight. These wheels never corrode if you take care of them.I replaced the tapered mufflers with period-correct ones while keeping the stock head pipe with cross-over for better performance.I'd rate this as a high eight or nine for cosmetics. There is normal wear and tear that you would expect. View close-ups of the bike, and you will see how clean all fasteners are. It is exceptionally clean. All fluids/filters changed, new brake disc pads, and new Dunlop tires and tubes.I'm sure I've missed a bit, so if you have any specific requests, shoot me a note, and I'll answer any questions and provide any additional photos you may need. There is little to no corrosion. If you look at comparable Triumphs for sale, you will see bikes with a lot of corrosion around the fasteners, brackets, and so on. They are not as clean as this one. The rider can choose at will from three throttle valve control maps (Standard Mode, “A” Mode, and “B” Mode) for different performance characteristics. Operation is performed by a button on the handlebars. STD Mode is set to accommodate a wide range of riding conditions.
