R 100 RT

UPDATED 7/28/2024 Battery replaced today and started again!

YouTube video search 1980 BMW R100RT. Scroll to Kaplan America. Video is 6 yrs old mileage is the same. I bought my dream bike while in the hospital recovering from a car wreck not knowing I would never be able to ride again. I started in once to make sure it ran as advertised. Started again 7/28/2024. It leaked a small amount of oil. I ordered rings, gaskets, and grommets. Everything needed to reseal the cylinders and oil pan. My arm limitations will not allow me to do the work or ride. The package deal includes a Black Widow Lift ($1000), service and parts manuals, some BMW special tools. A complete listing of included parts will be in the photos. This bike has been garage kept since the video. I received a normal New Jersey title with the bike. I am the third owner. I submitted the title to Texas and received a salvage title back. The fairing was removed by a previous owner. I am guessing they broke the fairing and filed an insurance claim hence the salvage tile. I wanted the triple disk brakes, cast wheels, and oil cooler that this bike has. The bike and lift (350lbs) would need to be picked up in Grapevine, TX.

BMW Parts included:

Piston Ring Set (2)

Top End Gasket Set

Oil Pan Gasket

Oil Mesh Gasket

Points

Condenser

Transmission Neutral Switch

Piston Pin C-Rings

Air Box Spring Clips (4)

BMW Tools Included:

Siebenrock Exhaust Flange Tool

BikeMaster piston pin puller

Clutch Let Down Set

Alternator Puller Bolt

Flywheel Holding Tool

Rear Crankshaft Seal Installation Tool

Clutch Centering Tool

Others:

BMW factory Service Manual

Haynes Service Manual

BMW factory Parts List (2 books)

Lift

YouTube video below

1980 Honda CT 110 TRAIL in Chesterfield, MO
$2,999

Used 1980 Honda Scooter

CT 110 TRAIL

This is a 1980 Honda CT110. The engine is 110cc with a 4 speed semi-automatic transmission (no clutch). Both tires are new and a new carburetor. Cleaned up, and running well (starts in about 3-7 kicks of the kickstarter). Once started the engine runs really strong. The oil was changed, and new: spark plug, battery, chain adjusters, rear view mirrors, and air filter. The turn signals, headlight, brake light, and electric horn all work. Includes the rare removable auxiliary spare gas tank in good condition. 1,843 miles. Priced at $2,999. Title in hand and with us it has always been garaged. It is a survivor. Paint isn't perfect but looks good especially for 44 years old. Small rust spots show on chrome of muffler cover but are only visible if looking closely for them. A couple other rust spots but most people don't notice unless looking for them is on frame near rear tire below exhaust and under the storage rack. Pictured with rear view mirrors on in some photos and off in others (for those who prefer a more streamlined sporty look). They are easily added or removed. Owned since mid 90's and only been riden for fun around neighborhood when used. Has never been off-road. Only selling since the family is getting older and is no longer riding. So many happy memories. Now it's ready for a new owner to enjoy.

1980 Moto Guzzi Le Mans in Colorado Springs, CO
$5,500

Used 1980 Moto Guzzi Standard

Le Mans
Stock # C1084
1980 Moto Guzzi Le Mans, The Moto Guzzi Le Mans is a sports motorcycle first manufactured in 1976 by Italian company Moto Guzzi. It was named after the 24-hour motorcycle endurance race at Le Mans in France. The Le Mans designation was first used for an 850 prototype, based on the V7, displayed at Premio Varrone in late 1972.

The original 850 Le Mans was a café racer with clip-on handlebars and a bikini nose fairing, but in the face of more and more powerful bikes from other manufacturers later models were developed more as sports tourers with a three-quarter fairing. A marketing success, the Le Mans competed against Italian superbikes from Ducati and Laverda. The original Le Mans was continually developed and spawned several later models, a final versions appearing in the early 1990s.

The Le Mans 850 or Le Mans Mark I (never officially labelled Mark I), was first shown at the Milan motorcycle show in November 1975, and sales began in 1976. Like the 750S and the 750 S3, the Le Mans 850 was developed from the 53 hp V7 Sport model of 1971, but power was increased to 71 hp. The power output measured at the back wheel was 71 bhp, giving a top speed of 130 mph. Compared to its roadster sibling, the T3, the Le Mans had higher-compression domed pistons, larger engine valves, and Dell'Orto 36 mm pumper carbs with filterless velocity stacks. Now commonly called the 'Mid Valve' engine, Moto Guzzi claimed 73HP/53.7Kw at 7700 RPM.

1980 Honda CB 900 Custom 900F in Colorado Springs, CO
$4,995

Used 1980 Honda Cruiser

CB 900 Custom 900F
Stock # C11426
1980 HONDA CB 900 Custom, Amazingly clean vintage Honda 4 cyl with the hi-lo trans, a rare bike! The CB 900 Custom is a bike with a lot of the cool looks of the late '60s to early '80s bikes, but this one is also unique in that it is a bit of a Frankenstein machine, borrowing components from the CB750 and CB900F, drivetrain from the CX and GL touring bikes, and it has essentially a 10-speed transmission consisting of 5 gears with a hi and low range for each gear. This rare find is in amazing original condition and has low original miles, current owner acquired it nearly 15 years ago and has been in his climate controlled collection ever since. Now to acquire more bikes he has to pare down some of what he has, and with two of these in the collection it is logical for one to go. This one was just serviced locally at Vintage Motorcycle Repair so it really needs nothing to become your daily rider. As far as extras, we have a throttle lock, a National Cycle detachable flyscreen, engine guards w/ highway pegs and the rare Amco slide in sissy bar. It looks amazing and runs great, and we think it is a real find for someone at $4,995.00!
