<p>Super reliable, low-seat cruiser with low miles. First owner purchased her brand-new in the crate in 2012. He only put 7K miles on her before I bought her in 2022. I rode her 90% highway to 24K miles. She's been serviced on schedule by Greg's Cycles in Clearwater, FL and Madness Motorcycle in Elgin, SC. No accident. Pretty sure she was bumped during transportation after I bought her because she arrived with a dent in the tank, and a hairline crack in the right cowler. Greg's Cycles repaired the dent and crack, and repainted the tank to factory color. I laid her down once at a stop during a pro rider class (only scratches on crashbar). She's got good tires, new air filters, a bright LED headlight + passing lights, a big clean windshield, quick-release sissy bar, loud aftermarket pipes (some rust spots underneath, and some corrosion spots on the black tips). She cold-starts on first crank (I give her a little choke for a few seconds). Her Mikuni-carburated, liquid-cooled V4 is rated 98HP, and she gets to triple digits fast. She runs about 35 MPG. Selling her because I ride a GW and, at 60, I like the comfort of the GW. She's my second RSTD: these bikes are mechanically super reliable, and cost way less than a H-D to service. If you need to stretch your dollar and you value reliability and comfort over bling, that's the big cruiser for you. Bike is safe on display at Greg's Cycles in Clearwater. 2018 Yamaha Star Eluder, The Eluder s 1,854cc air-cooled 48° V-Twin was created specifically for Yamaha s Transcontinental Touring line, which includes both the Star Eluder and the Star Venture. To keep things silky smooth, the engine features two counterbalancers and composite motor mounts and the effects are noticeable from the saddle. Top it off with ride-by-wire throttle controls, and you also get cruise control and ride modes to make your travels easier and more fun. The Eluder s dual exhausts were tuned with assistance from Yamaha s music division, and the result is a pitch-perfect 105.8 lb-ft at 2,800 rpm, which is right where the engine is turning in sixth gear at 75 mph.
