Yamaha STAR VENTURE Motorcycles for Sale

The Yamaha Star Venture was a luxury touring motorcycle that hit the market from 1983 to 1993. It was brought back in 1999 and ended again in 2013. It was such a popular model that the Republic of China (Taiwan) police force used the motorcycles for various events and day-to-day use.
The Yamaha Star Venture was available in two models, the Standard and the S. The only difference between the two was the style of forks. The Standard featured brushed front forks and the S had chromed front forks. Each year the color of the bike was changed, with an exception of a couple of years with the S model. Despite the few exceptions, the S and Standard were never the same color in the same year. There was a special Millennial edition released in 2000. Only 1,500 were produced and if you find one, you are lucky.
The most notable thing about the Yamaha Star Venture is the size. It is a large motorcycle weighing in at just over 800 lbs. dry. It weighs around 869 lbs. when oil, coolant, and fuel are filled. The wheelbase is an impressive 67.1 inches and seat height is at 29 inches. Standard features include a trunk-mounted CD player, AM/FM/Tape stereo system, and electronic cruise control. You may find that later models do not feature the tape system.
