Yamaha WR250F Motorcycles for Sale

The Yamaha WR250F is an off-road motorcycle made by Yamaha Motor Company. It features a 250cc liquid-cooled single Nikasil coated engine. 
It joined the Yamaha lineup in 2001, sharing many components and design concepts with the YZ250F motocross model. It is essentially the YZ250F detuned slightly for more controllable power with a headlight and lighting coil, a kickstand, lower noise specifications, softer suspension, larger radiators, and lower emissions.
The WR in the name indicates 8 years has a wide-ratio gearbox that is common to most enduro or trail bikes and contrasts the close-ratio gearbox essential to motocross racers.
The Yamaha WR250F may have a similar name to the WR250R but it actually shares very few common components with the heavier, street-legal dual sport dirt-oriented model.
In 2003, the Yamaha WR250F added automatic decompression exhaust Cam and electric start. In 2006, they added a digital display. In 2007, they changed it to an aluminum frame. In 2015, they started using a bilateral beam frame a six-speed transmission a rear slant cylinder and fuel injection. The 2020 model became available for sale in October 2019 and has an MSRP of $8,599.  There were no major changes made to the Yamaha WR250F for this model year.
