<p>Selling my Honda 1983XLs. This classic XL looks good and runs well. It starts on the first kick. Has excellent compression—all electrical works. This bike is 100% OEM, less the rear blinkers and the missing helmet lock that I'm still trying to locate. The 6v battery of the day did not produce the brightest or fastest blinking lights on the road. The odometer is working, but the speed dial long arm is broken and does not move. I'm sure it could be fixed; I just have not messed with it. I glazed the rear brake shoes when I was cleaning up the rear hub, so I have ordered new front and rear brake shoes. $21.00 lol. I have replaced the counter sprocket, compression release cable, and 6v battery, and the forks and engine have fresh oil in them. The bike has a single airfilter, but I have the OEM airbox and emissions parts. There are no oil leaks. I don't know much about the bike's history besides the young man I bought it from, who loved it as his first bike. Remember, this bike is 41 years old, and bikes were built and rode a lot differently back in those days.The bike's top speed is around 72 mph with stock gearing. I have the title—no trades or lowball offers. Please remember, this is an older girl, not perfect, but nice. Thanks for your time.</p>

<p>This Yamaha XT550 is all original <b>unrestored</b> with 703 original miles. The original owner was in the military and bought this bike and a matching XT250 at the same time. He preferred the XT250 so the XT550 was never ridden. Maintenance items have been replaced as it is a 40 plus year old motorcycle. I have replaced the fuel line, battery, air filter, oil and filter since I have owned it. The float needle was also replaced. The carburetors and gas tank are clean with no corrosion/rust. The tires are original also and will need to be replaced if you plan to really ride it. The last time it was registered was in 1988 before I purchased it. I have since registered it in Virginia and when I moved to Michigan it is registered here with antique plates so I can ride it occasionally. When I purchased it there were 564 miles on it and now there are 703. Mileage may increase as I ride this once in awhile to keep it fresh. Only non ethanol gas since I have owned it. Please look at the pictures as the bike is pretty immaculate. The tank is perfect with no dents scratches. The seat and tool bag do not have any cuts/cracks and look new. It starts on the first or second kick and runs perfect! The original tools and owners manual are in perfect condition. I have an original service manual that I purchased as well. 1983 HARLEY-DAVIDSON XR1000, 2,486 ORIGINAL MILE INCREDIBLY ORIGINAL BARN FIND!!! Untouched "barn find" condition very original XR1000 in absolutely amazing condition! Although I am using the term "barn find", this bike was properly stored in an attached climate controlled garage after being completely serviced and prepared for long term storage, including cylinder fogging, fuel draining, oil change, battery removal, and a full check over and service including: head and valve spring check by the Harley-Davidson dealer race program lead technician (back in the day), fork seals, brake fluid, chain lube, etc. We have tested all non-running systems including front and rear brakes, turned over the engine, lights, starter operation, horn, tires holding air, suspension compliance, etc. and confirmed all to be in proper working order. If the new owner would like us to fill the fuel tank and get the bike running, we would be happy to do that as well, or we will leave it as it is in "barn find" condition. It is up to the buyer's preference. The condition of all the paint, chrome, and metal is excellent with only dirt and dust covering, no corrosion. The only slight surface corrosion I see is limited to the exhaust heat shields only and could easily be remedied. The rest of any "rust colored" things you may see is simply dirt that I have confirmed in a couple small spots will clean off. Of course, I can't say the bike will look like brand new with a simple wash after sitting for 20 years, but I am saying the chrome and trim IS NOT corroded. The bike does come complete with 2 keys (one ORIGINAL Harley key), books and manuals, and some records from the Harley Dealership when it was gone through and fully serviced and readied for storage in 2005. The bike also comes with the original longer black mufflers, while the optional accessory shorter less baffled mufflers are currently installed on the bike. We purchased the bike directly from the previous older collector owner as part of a seven Harley-Davidson collection and rolled it out of his garage into our enclosed trailer and brought it here for inspection. I have described everything to the best of my ability and provided lots of detailed photos and information for your consideration.
