Selling my Honda 1983XLs. This classic XL looks good and runs well. It starts on the first kick. Has excellent compression—all electrical works. This bike is 100% OEM, less the rear blinkers and the missing helmet lock that I'm still trying to locate. The 6v battery of the day did not produce the brightest or fastest blinking lights on the road. The odometer is working, but the speed dial long arm is broken and does not move. I'm sure it could be fixed; I just have not messed with it. I glazed the rear brake shoes when I was cleaning up the rear hub, so I have ordered new front and rear brake shoes. $21.00 lol. I have replaced the counter sprocket, compression release cable, and 6v battery, and the forks and engine have fresh oil in them. The bike has a single airfilter, but I have the OEM airbox and emissions parts. There are no oil leaks. I don't know much about the bike's history besides the young man I bought it from, who loved it as his first bike. Remember, this bike is 41 years old, and bikes were built and rode a lot differently back in those days.The bike's top speed is around 72 mph with stock gearing. I have the title—no trades or lowball offers. Please remember, this is an older girl, not perfect, but nice. Thanks for your time.
