<p>This is a rare 2001 FXDX-T (the Dyna T-Sport) which is considered by Harley afficianados - along with it's sister bike, the FXDX (The Dyna Sport) - to be the best handling Dyna ever made.<br />This bike was purchased in 2019 by Kaplan's Cycle in Ct from the origional owners with 2900 mi. on the odometer and made into a project bike. Over $20,000 (documented) was spent to improve the performence and functionality of this bike. <p>I bought this bike stock with 34K original miles one year ago. It ran well then with no issues and was originally an 883. It had been stored in climate controlled shop and had excellent care. I have built this bike into a high performance 1200 Sportster. Upgrades include, S&S 1200 jugs and pistons. Heads are original and refurbished. S&S Super E Shorty Carb. New S&S hot cams. Performance One HP clutch which can handle the additional horse power which has been approximately doubled from the original 45 horse power. Chain Drive. Burley Brothers rear shocks. High Performance fork springs. TC Bros stainless high performance 2 into 1 exhaust. Custom Corbin seat. Custom paint by Dan Worth. Many other small but significant upgrades. Also have all original parts including front fender. This bike has been reborn with only about 600 miles on the rebuild. It's a hot rod and feels like one. I'm also about to retire from the Navy and move out to the East Coast, where I'm going to focus on adventure/dual-sport. So, I'm looking to simplify my life (and garage), and make my wife happy.</p><p><b><i>How long have you had it, and what can you tell me about its past.</i></b></p><p>I've held the title for three years. I bought it from the original owner (A good friend and fellow serviceman). He's been a huge rider for decades and took meticulous care of the bike. He sold it to me after upgrading to a brand-new Street Glide.</p><p><b><i>Tires? brakes? Have you done the cam tensioner?.</i></b></p><p>The tires are brand-new, brand-new clutch cable, and the brakes have 80% life left. I did the Cam tensioner at 30K miles (so I ate that $2.5K repair for you). I just had the guys over at SD Custom do a full, exhaustive check of all systems and components. This engine's perfect. She's clean as a whistle. All you're going to need to do is change the oil every 6K or so.</p><p></p><p></p>
