1098R TROY BAYLISS LIMITED EDITION TROY BAYLISS LIMITED EDITION

Looks like Mon 8/12 will be a Sunny day for new pix of my complete pkg 2009 Troy Bayliss Limited Edition (TBLE) #102 with 1,591 actual miles The limited-edition graphics/decals designed by famous helmet painter/artist Aldo Drudi are in superb shape,, I also have all recent service records of belts, fluids, new battery, etc. This is a one year model with a global homologation run of 500. My understanding is that the Piston and Lights/Horn being the only changes from the actual Race version. Per a 2010 Cycle World (CW) article, the Bayliss' bodywork is a lightweight plastic material called Terblend and the bellypan, seat assembly and front fender are carbon-fiber. CW's stock test TBLE scaled @ 399 lbs. Aldo Drudi's work commemorated Troy's three World Championships on three generations of Ducati Superbikes. In 2009 this rare Duc had a $43,995 MSRP, factoring in inflation, in today's money, a brand-new 1098R TBLE would carry a $64,400 MSRP. If you are reading this listing, then this 1,591 mile Duc is still available.

This stunning bike has never been raced or tracked, never laid down or fallen over, has no scratches, rust or rubber issues, a cushy life in the garage. All lights, signals and horn work as intended.

Boxed up and included in the sale are the OE:

stunning very new looking Bike Cover, Rear Stand, Plaque of Authenticity for #102, Both Keys with metal tags, CD, Paper Manual, Clutch Side Cover, Muffler Inserts and Clip-Ons.

Non-stock items already installed when I purchased include:

Ceramic-coated Custom exhaust with Y pipe in lieu of a Cat attached to the pair of OE Carbon Fiber Exhaust Mufflers tuned with Race ECU, Woodcraft Open Clutch Cover, Helibars and Trickle Charger Cable.

New battery rests on green lights of tender in garage. Unplug the tender, turn the key and savor the start of that extra-angry L-twin easily, strongly and cleanly coming to life. Settles down to an even Race ECU idle. Throttle response is crisp and instantaneous, There are progressive shift lights at the top of the dash.

If you reply w/o a phone number and/or only ask if the bike is still available, then you need to look elsewhere for a beautiful long-term investment.

Have CA DMV plate on current Non-Op.

I took these bike pix on a cloudy, overcast day so the shadows hide the detail, shine and true condition of #102. A new set of sunny day pix will show the shine and especially how nice the decals are around the fasteners.

$27,900 for this Complete
