2002 BMW R 1100 S in Raymond, NH
$4,950

Used 2002 BMW Classic / Vintage

R 1100 S

( Note There's a video I made years ago -- click on the 11th photo) Ride a piece of BMW history. Im selling my 2002 BMW R1100s Prep Boxer Cup motorcycle. This bike is an authentic bike from the 2002-3-4 racing series that went around the world as an undercard to the Moto GP series. The bikes were basically matched so the riders really put on a show. (There are vids on You tube worth watching.) This particular bike qualified at Daytona but was never raced. BMW also made a replica of the Boxer Cup series bikes. Other than the beautiful paint scheme the replicas are mostly stock and put out the stock 98 hp. My bike is one of the very few prep bikes in existence. It came through the factory with the intention of racing no heated grips or abs. It has more horsepower, tops at 160 mph and handles better. (The wheelbase is shorter so it turns in quicker.) It has the BMW racing chip and straight through Laser exhausts. But its also a great daily rider and high speed cruiser. Ive ridden many times for Southern NH to Montreal and this BMW performs effortlessly. I bought it from Max Stratton ( founder of Max BMW.) Max had gotten it from a collector. It had around 4,500 miles when I bought it in 2006. Now at 61,800 miles the motor still has all the grunt I recall when I got it. Its not at all finicky it starts every time and is ready for a sticker and a rider. Comes complete with carbon fiber racing bodywork. The clutch was replaced at Max BMW three years ago. Maybe 4000 mile on it. Happy to answer any and all questions. Not for everyone, but to certain riders this is a rare opportunity. If I werent 75 I wouldnt consider parting with it.

1972 Triumph TR6C in Mont Vernon, NH
$4,600

Used 1972 Triumph Classic / Vintage

TR6C
Technically this is a 1972 Triumph Tiger TR6RV, but to list it I had to choose TR6C from the menu. This is a late 1972-1/2 Model which means it has the frame with the 2” lower sitting position. Also being a late ’72 the transmission is a 5 speed. This is of course a right shift bike.I initially bought the bike in 2006. There was a couple of years in the mid-teens when my son-in-law owned the bike. During his ownership he had the jugs bored out slightly and installed new pistons. There were several years that the bike was ridden very seldom because of blowing the fuse to the battery sporadically. Finally figured out that the stop on the triple tree stop was pinching a wire when the bars are fully turned in that direction. Have not had a problem since fixing that about 3 years ago.The bike runs excellent. It has the simplicity of the single Amal carb. Just about every time I drive these windy New England roads I find myself in that performance groove where the gear ratio and engine torque is right there where I want it.I am scaling back and have decided to keep just one of my bikes. I have decided that I am selling my old Triumph, only because my 2013 Bonnie is a better long distance bike.Once we have made initial contact electronically, I would be pleased to talk to any potential buyers on my cellphone.

1960 BMW R60,
This is an excellent running 1960 R60. At that time we evaluated the bike and found it was due for a major overhaul. Having no history on the slinger service ever being done, we opted to pull the engine, disassemble, and perform the slinger/crank service.

The work started in 2016 and ended in 2017 with a reported mileage of 65,474.

The bike was disassembled and engine broken down to reseal. At this time, the slingers were replaced with new BMW parts and the crank was replaced with a refurbished one on exchange. New bearings were used throughout and the engine went back together with new gaskets, new intake and exhaust valves, oil drain and fill plugs, and many of small items.

The transmission was also disassembled and fully resealed with new input and output shaft seals, gaskets, as well as a new clutch.

Final drive was disassembled and resealed as well with all new gaskets and seals and fresh oil. Crown gear shims were also adjusted. Later in 2022, the final drive was rebuilt with a different gear ratio for better use in hilly backroad terrain. We used a 3.8 gear ratio for this type of riding. New gaskets and oil were also used at this time.

The carburetors were disassembled and completely rebuilt with all new gaskets, seals, jets, springs, floats, needle sleeves, and so on. New fuel lines were added along with new fuel filters. New high throttle cables were also used at this time along with newer petcock.

Next, we performed an Airhead Annual service which included all new fluids, new spark plugs, new points and condenser, and new air filter. The bike also received new rear brake shoes at this time. Finally upon final test ride, technician noted the steering head bearings felt notchy, and these were also replaced with new BMW parts. We also installed a new front tire at this time with new tube.

In 2022, the bike came in for service and we adjusted the valves, rebuilt the final drive (upgraded), adjusted the carbs, checked charging system and made adjustments.

This is a wonderfully set up R60 built to ride and has a lot of life left in it!
