This 1971 BSA Thunderbolt 650 is finished in Green & White over a black frame and powered by a numbers-matching 654cc parallel twin paired with a four-speed transmission. During the year-long restoration, every effort was made to bring this beauty back to original factory condition. Every component was touched, cleaned, and/or replaced with OEM equipment.

Engine – Air-cooled 654cc parallel twin was factory rated at 49 horsepower.The engine Top-end was disassembled, inspected cleaned and resembled. New Gaskets throughout. Engine was thoroughly cleaned and polished where appropriate.

Carburetor – Single Amal Concentric carburetor – was disassembled, cleaned, and reassembled with new slide and spring, choke assembly, throttle cable, and carb re-build kit.

Fuel tank – Cleaned and Flushed, refinished in Factory colors, and installed with new Petcocks.Side-covers – Cleaned, stripped, and refinished in Factory Colors. New emblems installed on side covers, fuel tank & frame.

Frame and all frame components – Stripped, cleaned, and refinished in factory colors.Replacement OIF (oil-in-frame) sump bolts & gaskets.

Electrical –new Lucas Cloth Main & Headlight wiring harnesses, Coils, Points, Ignition Switch, Blinkers, bulbs, flasher relays, condensers, & wiring, and other miscellaneous parts throughout the build.

A complete list of all replaced OEM parts is available upon request. Features include chrome fenders, re-built seat, original muffler headers & tailpipes, and painted rear Taillight bracket and front and rear brake Anchor plates. This 1971 BSA A65 Thunderbolt has a clean Texas title.
