2016 Ducati Scrambler Icon '62 Yellow, This highly customized 2016 Ducati Scrambler Icon was originally built for the One Motorcycle Show, and was recently featured in our “One MotoCorsa Show” held the same weekend. You could say this custom Scrambler is “turnkey,” but it’s actually not: It uses a keyless RFID system that’s activated by a remote fob. From there, the list of mods just grows and grows… Visually, key components include a custom-painted gas tank with old-school Ducati logos, a custom Ducati-themed seat, handcrafted front and side numberplates (the front incorporating a projector-beam headlight array), an LED taillight and turn signals, and numerous powdercoated parts including the swingarm. Mechanically, the motor was treated to a hydraulically actuated Ducabike clutch with a clear cover, open timing belt covers, and a ceramic-coated exhaust capped by twin Akrapovic silencers. The chassis was treated to upgraded suspension consisting of an SB Racing shock with remote reservoir and a drop-in fork cartridge kit, plus a set of flatter handlebars and Ducabike rearsets, all rolling on a set of custom-built Alpina wide wheels (with red spoke nipples!) shod with Pirelli Scorpion Rallycross tires. There’s more—much more, actually—but we’re running out of space. Suffice it to say that the total build added up to some $45K! This one-of-a-kind custom currently has just over 1200 miles on it, and was recently inspected by MotoCorsa’s world-class technicians and given a clean bill of health. Why go to the trouble of building a custom Scrambler yourself when this one is ready to go?

The Icon is the starting point from which to express yourself. It is characterised by its comfortable riding position and steel teardrop tank with interchangeable aluminium side panels. The 790 mm seat height ensures comfort for both the rider and passenger. Stand-out features include the wide handlebar, the headlight with glass lens and LED guide-light, and the Dual Sport wheels. An aluminium finish for the belt covers, the heat guard and the interchangeable surround of the characteristic LCD instrument panel all enrich the style of the bike.
