• ENGINE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM - EMS: All GASGAS EC 2-stroke models feature the most advanced Engine Management System (EMS) of any 2-stroke off-road competition motorcycle, which means riders only need to focus on the trails ahead of them. The brain of the system is the Electronic Control Unit (ECU), which is updated with the latest digital maps to ensure the very best performance and power delivery. Controlling the ignition timing and the amount of fuel injected, using sensor data such as intake air pressure, throttle position and coolant temperature it takes care of everything related to fuel, air and oil. Inconsistent starting and time consuming setting changes are a thing of the past!
• THROTTLE BODY: Things are a little more involved on the 39mm Dellorto throttle body on our 2-stroke bikes, where a Throttle Position Sensor (TPS) relays airflow data to the ECU, which in turn calculates the amount of oil and fuel delivered to the engine! The end result on all bikes is crisp, clean running motors that deliver smooth, strong power.
• ELECTRIC START AND LI-ION BATTERY: The best invention since the wheel! With an electric starter fitted to all of our 4-stroke and 2-stroke enduro bikes we can ensure that all GASGAS enduro models start super easily, no matter the weather. Using a Li-Ion battery, which weighs approx. 1kg less than a conventional lead battery, we can offer the convenience of electric starting while also keeping overall bike weight to a minimum. It's a win, win for everyone!
